Family Planning - Exams, birth control and birth control methods are provided to any interested individual. Call your local health department to schedule an appointment.

General Nursing - Immunizations, blood tests, hearing, vision and dental screenings, tuberculosis screenings, cancer screenings and pregnancy tests are all available through general nursing.

Health Education - We strive to educate the people of our community with information regarding health. These services are available to individuals, community groups, churches and schools. Information is delivered by nurses, nutritionists, health educators and other qualified staff members.

If you would like a member of our staff to talk to your group, please call your local health department and speak to the nurse manager.

Immunizations - Immunizations are available for all ages with an emphasis on infants up to three years of age. At your request, your health department will also provide adult flu shots and pneumonia vaccines on-site at your place of business.

Primary Care Clinic - Work physicals, sports physicals, routine physical exams, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and minor injuries are provided by a registered nurse or family nurse practitioner, as well as monitoring for chronic diseases such as asthma and high blood pressure.

Sexually Transmitted Disease Treatment & Follow-up - Services are provided for individuals suspected or diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease. The program includes physical exams, lab tests, treatment and follow-up. HIV counseling and testing is also available.

Sickle Cell Screening & Counseling - This program serves those from birth to 21 years of age with medical screening and education about sickle cell disease and other abnormal blood disorders. Contact your physician or your local health department for a referral.

Stroke & Heart Attack Prevention Program - The Stroke and Heart Attack Prevention Program provides blood pressure and diabetes screening, education, monitoring, treatment and followup for eligible patients who are considered high risk for these conditions.

Vital Records - If you are in need of a birth or death certificate for a person born or deceased in your county, visit your health department's Vital Records area. Assistance with amended or delayed birth certificates, paternity affirmation or legitimating forms is also available.

Travel Immunizations - Available for all ages, travelers receive immunizations and health care information based on the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control.
